Diversity Project and Feast

Important Dates and reminders regarding the Diversity project and feast.

* Projects are due on Friday, November 20th.  Student projects should be paper-clipped, as we will bind them into books here at school.  Project covers will be made here at school.

* Our feast will take place on Monday, November 23rd.  We are asking for each family to prepare a dish with their child for our feast!  This should just be an amount that would feed a family (whatever the recipe calls for). You do not need to prepare enough food for the entire class!  Please make sure all food is nut-free and send in with directions for warming and serving, if necessary.

Thanks so much for your support with this fun research project and feast!  We greatly appreciate it!

*Diversity Project is due on Friday, November 22!  Students made their cover in Technology this week.  Presentations are planned for Monday, November 25.
*The Diversity Feast is Monday, November 25.  Please make sure your food is at school no later than 12:30 pm.  If items need to be dropped off in the morning, please make sure your dish is labeled with student and teacher name, heating, and serving instructions, if needed.  If your dish can be kept warm in a crock pot, that is very helpful!  We have lots of power strips to keep crock pots heated through the morning, if needed.  Please make arrangements to pick up your dish/crock pot at the end of the day if your child is unable to take it on the bus.  Also, make sure utensils are labeled with your child's name!  Don't forget we have SEVERE nut allergies in 4th grade, as well as other food allergies.  PLEASE label your food with any common allergens.  THANKS! :)  If you signed up at Open House to help with the Feast, your child's teacher will be contacting you.  We will not be able to have additional parent help due to space.  Thanks for understanding.  It's going to be a great day!
*Wednesday, December 4, is the Field Trip to the Community Theatre.  Thank you for sending in your permission slips and $6 donation.  Chaperones will be contacted by their child's teacher before Thanksgiving break.
