Updates from 4th grade 9/28

• Hutchings Movie Night is tonight at 6:30! 
• Unit three Spelling test is Monday! Students should be bringing home their Spelling notes to review, along with their Word Preview words each week.
• All fourth grade teachers will be attending Reading Apprenticeship Training out of the building this coming Monday.
• MEAP testing dates are October 9, 10, 11, 16, and 17.  It is important that your child is well rested, eats a good breakfast, and is here on testing days.  Please remind them to do their best! :)   
• There is a PTO meeting this coming Thursday, October 4th, at 7:00pm in the Media Center.
• Be sure to check out the "Important Links" on our 4th grade blog!!  (http://hutchings4th.blogspot.com)  There are links to several math games, which are great practice!  There is also a link to the spelling Word Preview words, as well as a link to the hard copies of the math study links!!
• Just a reminder...your students fill out a daily planner. They should be showing you their planners each night and having you sign the bottom of the planner page. This is a great tool to keep you informed and to communicate with your child's teacher.
• Please remember to call the office with any end of the day schedule changes. We are not always able to check email during the day.

4th Grade Updates 9/21

• Picture day is Thursday, September 27th. Wear your smile!  Picture forms were sent home the first week of school.  Please contact the office if you need a new form.

• There is a PTO meeting this coming Thursday, September 20, at 7:00pm in the media center.
• Friday, September 21, all fourth grade classes will have a test on Unit One in Math.  Review sheets will be passed out Wednesday.
• Mark your calendars!  Picture day is Thursday, September 27th.  Hutchings Movie Night is Friday, September 28th, in the evening.

Welcome Back!

Welcome back to school!  We enjoyed meeting so many of you last night at Open House!!  If you were unable to attend, we will be sending home the information passed out last night.

We will begin Spelling on Monday.  Tests will be weekly on Mondays, with our first test being Monday, September 17th covering Unit 1.

If you have not yet returned your child's Registration Update (Emergency Card) or Parent Questionnaire, please send them in Monday.  Thanks!
